Recently, the results of the 1906 prize selection of the International Electricity Commission (IEC) in 2023 were announced, and a total of 21 experts in my country won awards. Yuan Jun, the Infrastructure Department of the State Grid, Qin Xiaohui and Chen Jiangbo of the Chinese Academy of Electrical Sciences, Wang Xuanyuan, Hebei Bei Electric Power Wang, and State Grid Shanghai Electric Power Zhang Yu and other five State Grid Co., Ltd. won this honor. The five experts who have won this time have made important contributions in the international standardization of IEC in the fields of UHV AC transmission, new energy grid, virtual power plants, and power storage of power energy.

In recent years, the State Grid Corporation of China has implemented an in -depth international development strategy, actively participated in international standardization, and supported Chinese experts to be elected chairman of IEC for the first time in a century. On behalf of China, China established the IEC Technical Committee (TC115) and the IEC System Committee (SYCSET) for the first time. There are 9 secretariat of the technical institution and 1 chairman's position to support my country's energy and electricity industry into the international standard governance system. As of October 2023, the company led 209 international standards, and 99 items were approved to achieve the full coverage of the three major international standardized organizations of IEC, ISO, and ITU. Qin Xiaohui of the Chinese Academy of Electrical Sciences is the head of the IECSC8A renewable energy access power of the power grid branch. This standard is the first IEC standard that my country has led by the rapid frequency response of electronic electronic power supply, which is of great significance to improving the active support capabilities of new energy and the security and stability of the "double high" system.
